Learning to Use Your Voice

The Brief:

Design and deliver training as part of Black History Month to start the conversation on discrimination and how to be an ally.

The Process:

I met with the Gousto Black community to listen to their experiences and gain perspective on what they would like the learning objectives of this training to be.

The Results:

We decided this would be most impactful as a face-to-face/virtual session. I designed a Google Slides presentation and ran train the trainer sessions with volunteers from the Gousto Black community. They ran the session with my support as a facilitator (driving slides, polls, breakouts and guiding the conversation as needed). The sessions received great feedback with very open conversations and participants asking if there could be more like this in the future.
